Former Anti-Corruption Czar, Justice Mustapha Akanbi Of ICPC Fame Is Dead

Justice Mustapha Adebayo Akanbi is dead, BlackBox Nigeria can reliably report.

The retired President of the Court of Appeal and former head of the Independent Corrupt Practices Commission died in the early hours of today around 4:25am after a brief illness.

The late Wakili of Ilorin was 85 years old.

Honourable Justice Mustapha Muhammed Adebayo Akanbi CFR, PCA (rtd) was born on 11th of September, 1932 in Accra, Ghana. Ghana happens to be his birthplace because his parents were residing in the Gold Coast as at the time he was born.

He spent his first 20 years of his life in Ghana. Ghana gave him sound and qualitative primary and secondary education.

Until his death, he was an elder statesman, a man of impeccable integrity, an intellectual by all measures and an untiring judicial. His globally acknowledged for courage, patriotism, pan Africanism and above all compassion for human advancement.
