For killing his girlfriend, Chukwudi sentenced to die by hanging 

Chukwudi Onweniwe has been sentenced to death by hanging by an Akure High Court. This is coming two years after he murdered his girlfriend, Nifemi in cold blood. 

BlackBox Nigeria gathered that Nifemi Adeyeye was studying for her HND at the Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo, Ondo State at the time she met her untimely death at the hands of her boyfriend.

It was revealed that Chukwudi abducted the late Nifemi whom he took to a farm where he rapped her and strangulated her to death. The deceased’s mum who testified in court said she didn’t know Chukwudi as her daughter’s boyfriend but she had infact said she was visiting a friend on the day she went missing.

On the other hand, the suspect’s father, Nwosu Onweniwe who also testified, confirmed knowing the late Nifemi and that she was indeed his son’s girlfriend. He also revealed that Nifemi used to help him on his farm and also assisted him by washing his cloths.

Chukwudi Onweniwe who was charged on a four count charge of abduction, rape, endangering of life and murder was later found guilty and sentenced to die by hanging.
