Monday morning did not turn out well for travellers as flights to various local and international destinations were grounded following an embarkment of a strike by the workers of the Nigerian Aviation Handling Company Plc (NAHCO).
According to NAHCO, the strike, which was prompted by a salary increment, saw workers leave the International airport and refuse to attend to passengers.
A report by BusinessDay on the situation further confirms that several frustrated passengers at Murtala Muhammed Airport Terminal Two, (MMA2) Lagos and Murtala Muhammed International Airport, (MMIA) were seen waiting outside the airport terminal for delayed or rescheduled flights.
It is expected that more flights would be grounded if the situation is not managed as well as huge financial losses for passengers.
