Five months after, Naira Marley returns to court

Music act, Naira Marley is set to return to court for the renewed hearing of his fraud case.

Rave of the moment Azeez Fashola better known as Naira Marley will be returning to court tomorrow five months after being granted bail by a Federal High Court sitting in Ikoyi, Lagos.

The ‘Soapy’ crooner became a viral sensation earlier this year when he was arrested alongside four others including Zlatan Ibile and Rahman Jago by men of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC over charges bothering on internet fraud and money laundering. He was later released on bail after meeting up with bail conditions.

BlackBox Nigeria can however confirm that the case resumes tomorrow, October 22 as Justice Nicholas Oweibo will be entertaining hearing from the prosecuting and defence counsels.
BBN360 further gathered that Naira Marley will most definitely appear in court as he has arrived Lagos from the UK where he performed on stage at the O2 Arena alongside compatriot, Wizkid who also had other tops music acts on the bill.

It is expected that Naira’s lead counsel, Olalekan Ojo will be going head to head with the EFCC team led by Rotimi Oyedepo.
The last few months since his legal battle began has seen Naira Marley become more popular with tunes like ‘Soapy’, ‘Puta’, ‘Am I a Yahoo boy’ amongst others.
