By FG hands over Presidential Lodge to Lagos Government
The Federal Government of Nigeria has handed over the Presidential Lodge in Marina, Lagos to the state government.
In a lowkey ceremony marking the handover on Thursday, the Thursday Government team led by the State House Permanent Secretary, Mr Jalal Arabi, FG revealed the handover was in fulfilment of President Buhari’s promise to entrust the edifice to Lagos state government in order to drive tourism development.
On Lagos team was the Secretary to the state government, Mr. Olayinka Bello who led a team other representatives promised that the Presidential lodge would be put to good use. He further disclosed that the state government shall not “compromise the structural integrity while preserving the architectural finesse and preserving.”
Mr Bello further thanked the acting President, Yemi Osinbajo and former Lagos Governor, Babatunde Fashola for ensuring the smooth transfer of the edifice.
