FG Declares Monday As Public Holiday For Worker’s Day

The Federal Government throught the Interior Minister have announced Monday, May 1st as a public holiday to mark this year’s Worker’s Day celebration.

The announcement was made via a statement issued by a Director in the Ministry, Alhaji Muhammadu Maccido on behalf of the Interior Minister, Lt-Gen Abdulrahman Dambazzau Rtd) on Friday.

The Interior Minister congratulated the Nigerian workers for their resilience and commitment to the current administration of President Muhammadu Buhari despite all the challenges being faced daily.

Dambazzau also called on all of them to keep supporting the administration’s fight against graft just as it continues to ensure security of lives and properties, stabilise the economy through creation of jobs and also diversification of the economy.

Dambazau further urged the workers to re-educate themselves to the service of the nation and to remain productive for the growth and development of the country, particularly now that the government is embarking on the implementation of the Economic Recovery and Growth Plan.
