Nigerian Businessman, CEO of Zenon Petroleum and Gas Limited and chairman of Forte Oil Plc, Femi Otedola, has announced his early exit from mini-blogging site – twitter.
Nigerian businessman, entrepreneur philanthropist, who joined twitter some few months back was forced to exit when twitter failed to verify his handle and impersonators capitalised on it to put his image at risk threatening is business empire.

When the Otedola Bridge Tanker fire incident happened, the cloned account claimed the Tanker was owned by Forte oil and took responsibility for the carnage.
Forte Oil Plc had to release an official statement a day after distancing itself from the cloned account’s position.
In a single tweet that has generated over 959 retweets and 1760 likes, Otedola announced his exit in this manner,”Good day to the online community. Due to the fraudulent and disingenuous exploitation of my persona on this platform, tweets from me on this account are suspended forthwith until I am verified by Twitter. Thank you. F.Ote$”
