Falana, Rotimi Jacobs, 23 Others Become Senior Advocates Of Nigeria

Lagos lawyer, Femi Falana, key prosecution counsel of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Rotimi Jacobs; and 23 others have emerged as Senior Advocates of Nigeria.

The list of 25 was on Thursday released by the Chief Registrar of the Supreme Court, Sunday Olorundahunsi.

Olorundahunsi said the announcement was in accordance with the provisions of the Legal Practitioners Act 2004.

Others on the list are Dayo Akinlaja, Prof. Yemi Akinseye-George, Prof. Dakas James Dakar, Mrs. Joy Okungbowa Adesina, Mrs. Connie-Jean Aremu, Mahmud Abubakar Magaji, Ogwu James Onoja, Garuba Usman Tetengi, Henry Oghogho Ogbodu, Selekeowei Larry, Abenny Mohammed, Charles Nwanne Obishai, Luke Chukwudi Illogu, Francis Chuks Agbu, Paul Ananaba, Ahmed Raji, Adekunle Theophilus Oyesanya, Rotimi Oluseyi Oguneso, Oluseyi Samuel Opasanya, Aduroja Claudies Olumuyiwa, Aliyu Umar Illo Katune Samuel and Ndukwe Nnnawuchi.

It will be recalled that one hundred and twenty-five persons applied for consideration, while 71 of them were shortlisted.
