EXCLUSIVE: Super Eagles Ferries To Benin Republic Ahead Of AFCON Clash

Three-time African champions Nigeria, on Friday, was ferried by the Lagos state Waterways Authority (LASWA) from the Five Cowries Terminal in Falomo, Ikoyi via the Lagos inland waterways to Port Novo in Benin Republic ahead of their fixture in the 2022 Africa Cup of Nations.

This development comes at a time when more people in Lagos State have embraced the use of water transport being the safest and fastest mode of transportation.

The Super Eagles is set to face their Benin counterpart in an AFCON qualifying match.

The match is scheduled to take place on Saturday, 27th March, 2021 by 17:00 (West African Time). The anticipated ‘Clash of the Titans’ will hold at Stade Charles de Gaulle, Porto-Novo.

Meanwhile, BlackBox Nigeria gathered that the Super Eagles arrived at the terminal Friday morning and left for Benin Republic.
