The Lagos State Polytechnic has suspended it’s second semester examinations indefinitely following the resurgence of the novel coronavirus.
This was confirmed in an interview with the school’s public relations officer, Mr Kuye Olarewaju.
The second semester examinations which commenced on December 7th has now been postponed indefinitely.
This is coming few hours after the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu ordered the closure of schools in the state following the increase in Covid-19 cases.
The coronavirus disease, which was first recorded in Wuhan, China in 2019, is a communicable respiratory disease caused by a new strain of coronavirus that causes illness in humans.
Nigeria has over 70, 000 recorded cases of the virus, with Lagos State having over 28, 000 confirmed cases.
