BlackBox Nigeria can exclusively spot that the Charman of Ikosi-Isheri, Abdul Fatai Oyesanya, who was earlier reported to have died today after brief illness actually died of Cancer of the Liver.
A reliable source who preferred anonymity told BBN360 that the late Abdul Fatai Oyesanya had gone to Dubai in the United Arab Emirates to carry out possible surgery which was not successful and was only in Lagos State University Teaching Hospital(LASUTH) for the purpose of chemotherapy when he gave up the ghost.
“I believe his condition was made already bad when he got to Dubai, the Cancer has already spread to different parts of his body, the medical team already knew in Dubai, I think they just pushed him back for palliative care, possibly to die close to his family, ” he said.
The source further told BlackBox Nigeria that the late Council Chairman had hepatitis which led to cancer of the liver.
According to the World Health Organization, WHO, “hepatitis is an inflammation of the liver. The condition can be self-limiting or can progress to fibrosis (scarring), cirrhosis or liver cancer. Hepatitis viruses are the most common cause of hepatitis in the world but other infections, toxic substances (e.g. alcohol, certain drugs), and autoimmune diseases can also cause hepatitis.
“There are 5 main hepatitis viruses, referred to as types A, B, C, D and E. These 5 types are of greatest concern because of the burden of illness and death they cause and the potential for outbreaks and epidemic spread. In particular, types B and C lead to chronic disease in hundreds of millions of people and, together, are the most common cause of liver cirrhosis and cancer.”
However, another political associate of the deceased said he does not think the death of the Chairman is scientific or natural, noting that the Doctors just said something to prove his death.
“Besides my brother, all these (politicians dying) are not ordinary eyes, the medical team will find one diagnosis to call it just to satisfy medical inquisitiveness, ” he told BlackBox Nigeria correspondent on the phone while trying to confirm what killed the Council Chairman.
