Excitement as PEPC Foundation doles out back-to-school materials to Ikorodu students

A non-governmental organization, PEPC Foundation, on Wednesday, brought smiles to the faces of students in Ikorodu during its annual ‘Back To School’ programme.

The 2022 edition of the project featured the distribution of educational materials to no fewer than 5,000 students in three local governments in Lagos: Ibeju-Lekki, Alimosho and Ikorodu.

The distribution train reached Ikorodu on Wednesday, and school items such as school bags, socks, branded exercise books, calculators, pencils, pens, erasers and sharpeners, were doled out to the selected students in preparation for their resumption to school.

The event, held at the Ita-Elewa Youth Centre in the Ikorodu area of Lagos, witnessed a massive turnout of students and parents who showered praises and prayers on PEPC Foundation.

Speaking at the event, the group’s founder, Barr. Luqman Akinsanya said the motive behind the kind gesture was to put smiles on the faces of indigent parents in Ikorodu whose kids will be resuming in schools for another term.

Akinsanya then urged parents and guardians to always monitor their children and ask questions where necessary, to avoid losing their kids to the rampant social vices in the society.
