A seasoned environmental advocate and youth development leader, Abdulsalam Abiodun Ashade, has officially entered the race for Executive Chairman of Olorunda Local Council Development Area (LCDA) under the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Ashade, who currently serves as the Executive Director of Green Janitors and is a 10th Mandela Washington Fellow, obtained his APC nomination form ahead of the party’s primary election scheduled for May 10, 2025 .
In his declaration, Ashade emphasized his commitment to sustainable development, climate action, and inclusive governance.
He stated that his aspiration is driven by a desire to advance the community’s development through strategic initiatives in education, healthcare, infrastructure, and youth empowerment.
Ashade’s campaign is anchored on the principle of “Leave No One Behind,” reflecting his dedication to ensuring that every member of the community benefits from equitable growth and opportunities.
He has called on party leaders and members to support his vision for a more inclusive and sustainable Olorunda LCDA.
The APC primaries are expected to be competitive, with Ashade’s entry bringing a focus on environmental sustainability and youth engagement to the forefront of the local political discourse.
