By EndSARS: Nigerians Slam Police Response Unit Boss, Yomi Shogunle Over ‘Insensitive’ Tweet
The Head of Police Complaints Response Unit, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Yomi Shogunle have come under fire for a tweet about the brutality of citizens by serving Police officers.
Mr Shogunle was reacting to tweets about the inhuman activities of operatives of the Special Anti Robbery Squad. In his tweet, he advised that people having frightening nightmares of being beaten by Police officers to pray to God not to let it happen and also stay clear from crime scenes where officers will be responding to distress call.
He tweeted, “To all those having frightening dreams- “shot/beaten by police”. Pray to God not to allow it happen + avoid areas where police are responding to incidents in real life. If such dreams persist, GO SEE A PSYCHIATRIST. We only deal with real life police complaints @PoliceNG_PCRRU.
