By The Economic and Financial crimes commission has apprehended a certain Ifechukwu Tom Makwe, who disguised as a Nigerian senator amongst other personalities to swindle unsuspecting victims.
In a statement by the anti-graft agency obtained by BlackBox Nigeria, Makwe disguises under different personalities to reap off his victims of their hard earned money.
The EFCC revealed that he sometimes poses as an agent of the US crime unit, FBI or as a diplomatic solicitor to dupe his victims. He also operates under different aliases like Senator Tompolo, Fahad Makwe, Tom Makwe and Dr. Bran.
EFCC further reveals that Makwe swindled a certain Spaniard of the sun of Five Million, Seven Hundred thousand Euros which is over five billion Naira in Nigerian currency.
Preliminary investigations revealed that Makwe began duping the victim about 10 years ago after they met on social media using his different fake profiles.
Amongst other things found in his possession was a Toyota Camry with a fake National Assembly number plate instigating he is a senator.
He is expected to be charged to court by the prosecuting team of the EFCC.
