Ibrahim Mustapha Magu moments ago arrived at the Senate at the National Assembly for his screening and possible confirmation at the substantial head of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.
His arrival at the Red Chamber is coming after Senate President, Senator Bukola Saraki confirmed his invitation late Tuesday.
He said, “The acting chairman of EFCC, would appear before us for screening “.
Magu, was appointed acting chairman of the anti graft agency by President Buhari on November 9, 2015, following the sack of his predecessor, Ibrahim Lamorde.
It would be recalled that President Buhari had forwarded Magu’s name to the senate on June 2016 for confirmation.
Ibrahim Magu is one of the appointees of pioneer Chairman of the anti-graft agency, Nuhu Ribadu. He was also nominated as a member of the Committee set up by the National Security Adviser, Babagana Monguno to probe the acquisition of arms from 2006 till date.
