By Christmas celebrations is already gaining momentum in Ikorodu Federal Constituncy as widows, senior citizen, vulnerable and needy smiled home during the weekend with food items and other staples for the Yuletide as distributed by Hon. Babajimi Benson, MHR, the lawmaker representing the Ikorodu Federal Constituency at the Federal House of Representatives.
The presentation which had over 500 people in the Constituency as beneficiaries took place at the Constituency office of the lawmaker in Igbogbo, Lagos state, was powered by the iCARE Foundation of the Federal lawmaker.
While addressing BlackboxNigeria, Mayor Deen Sanwoola, the Director General of the Foundation expressed that this gesture and others in the time past has made Hon. Babajimi Benson a man that has the interest of the people at heart thereby displaying him as a man of humility and good conscience.
Mrs Olajumoke Benson, The wife to the lawmaker while addressing the beneficiaries, thanked all for the unflinching supports bestowed on her husband since the commencement if his administration. She appealed to women within the constituency to come out in their numbers in order to deliver Ikorodu Division for the All Progressives Congress, APC, in the 2019 general elections.
Hon. Babajimi Benson who was also present at the presentation expressed his delight in serving members of his Constituency and promised not to relent in his efforts in making life better for all.
The distribution of the food item cut across the Federal Constituency closely monitored by the iCARE Team coordinated by Abdulazeez Yusuf Atebo of which over 500 people benefitted from.
It would be recalled as part of his effort in giving back to the Constituency, the lawmaker seeking second term at the Federal House of Representatives under the umbrella of the APC had earlier doled out Siena Buses to 4 of iCARE members.
