The endorsement was however kicked against by the chief host of the day and chairman of IKODASS, Otunba Ganiu Abiru BlackBox Nigeria can report.

The day’s proceeding was tagged cultural and fashion day and it saw different fashion designers, hairdressers as well as local dish makers turn up to display the rich culture of the community which was founded by a hunter known as Oga centuries ago. The event was chaired by BOG while the chairman of the Ikorodu Development Association (IKODASS) was also present. Others include; the Ayangburen of Ikorodu, Oba Adewale Shotobi; a former commissioner for Information, Chief Ayodele Elesho amongst others.

However in a twist of event, the crowd was thrown into confusion when a cultural drama was staged to commemorate the event.
BBN reports that the drama which was jointly staged by ANTP/TAMPAN in Ikorodu minced no word in stating that Ikorodu and its indigenes have endorsed BOG whom they described as a son of the soil.
The play which had all expected theatrics and dance saw different thespians make a move for the Lagos Governorship seat but were stepped down by the protagonist who eventually announced that Babatunde Gbadamosi was the man for the job.

This obviously didn’t go down well with some people in the crowd especially the monarch, Oba Shotobi who is perceived to be close to the powers that be in the APC. The crowd also had many members of the ruling party while many were seen wearing the “Team BOG” brand cap.
