The Pharaohs who came back from two goals down to earn a point against Angola had to endure the frustrating moments coupled with the intensity of the game. They were faced with the other side of fame as the lost clinical chances to score due to pitch invasion.
Two-time African Footballer of the Year, Mohammed Salah once again proved his outlandish quality with clinical performance against Angola. The Liverpool frontman provided an assist and also contributed to the equalizer that held Angola to a stalemate.
One of the invasions came while Egypt were creating a build-up attack in search for a winning goal. Salah obliged to hug his big Angolan fans who tried to take selfie with him.
Meanwhile, despite the draw against Angola, Egypt has qualified for the World Cup Qualifier Play-off. The Pharaohs boast of 11 points in 5 matches keeps them at the top of the table with 3 points ahead of Gabon. A loss in the final match of the group stage will not deter their quest for World Cup qualifiers as they will still retain their first position through goal difference.
So far, Salah has been clinical for both country and club. His goal scoring prowess and contribution are undisputable. He currently has 15 goals and 6 assists for Liverpool this season.
The former Chelsea player has proven to be a good signing for Liverpool over the years. He helped the Reds in winning the first Premier League title after 20 years.
Though not part of the 2019 UEFA Champions League final, Salah was influential in the team’s journey to the finals.
