Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu wins 5th term bid in grand style
It was a rollercoaster ride for Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekewremadu in Enugu West as he won his re-election bid in a grand style. Ekweremadu is returning to the Senate for his 5th term after being first elected in 2003.

The upper chamber boss defeated his closest rival, APC’s Juliet Ibekaku-Nwagwu with over 70,000 votes to be declared winner.
Ekweremadu polled 86,088 while Ibekaku-Nwagwu polled 15,187.
