By The Asset Management Company of Nigeria have taken over the possession of Gateway Portland Cement Limited over an unsettled N3billion debt.
The take over was granted by the Federal High Court, Abeokuta on Friday following an injunction by AMCON.
It will be recalled that just recently, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of AMCOn, Mr Ahmed Kuru disclosed that the agency was doing all within its reach to recover debts, especially from debtors that have not been servicing the loan facility.
AMCON’s receiver, Charles Adeogun-Phillips took over the Portland cement factories located in Abeokuta and Mowe areas of Ogun State.
