Days After Dethronement, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi Evacutes 400 Books Worth N200 Million From Kano Emir’s Palace

Following the dethronent of former Emir of Kano, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi by the Governor Abdullahi Ganduje led government, the N200 million worth Library belonging to former Emir has been evacuated from the palace, days after he was dethroned.

The dethroned Emir’s principal private secretary, Mujtaba Abba who confirmed that over 40,000 books and journals catalogued at the expansive library have been evacuated in an interview with Daily Nigerian, said they were taken to a safe location within the state.

The evacuation of books and memorabilia from the multi-million naira library which Muhammad Sanusi built in the Emir of Kano’s Palace has been regarded as one of the biggest collection of books by a royal father in West Africa.
