Renowned Nigerian music artist, David Adeleke, also known as Davido, has revealed his intention to step back from the music scene before his popularity wanes.
Speaking in an interview shared on social media, the artist expressed his concern about the inevitable decline in the electrifying response he receives from his live performances.
He acknowledged that every artist faces a point of career transition and slowdown, and he doesn’t want to reach that stage.
Davido stated, “My only apprehension lies in that moment when fans become emotional and ecstatic during my stage performances.
“However, there will come a time when my career’s momentum will naturally taper off; this is a universal experience.
“My personal resolve is firm: I’ll make a jest among my friends that I’d rather retire gracefully than fade away.”
