Davido secures Zlatan’s release as Naira Marley remains in custody

After 5 days being held in the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, over alleged involvement in cyber crime, Nigerian Rapper and Zanku dance pioneer, Zlatan Ibile has regained his freedom.

This development is coming after popular singer, Davido reportedly hired a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, SAN to legally intervene and eventually secure Zlatan’s release.

BlackBox Nigeria recalls that Zlatan, Naira Marley, Tiamiu Abdulrahman Kayode, Adewunmi Adeyanju Moses and Abubakar Musa were arrested on Friday, May 10th 2019 at 9, Gbangbola Street, Ikate, Lekki, Lagos.



However, while the three of them were released, Naira Marley and one other suspect is still in custody, allegedly due to some incriminating items found on their laptops.



BlackBox Nigeria gathered that no charges were filed against Zlatan Ibile, and his personal assistant, Rahman Jago.



Video of the rapper shot immediately after his release has been going viral as proof to show he is now free from EFCC’s confinement.

Singer Davido confirmed and celebrates local rapper, Zlatan Ibile as he regained his freedom, 5 days after being arrested alongside Naira Marley and 3 others.

However, the news has been debunked by flamboyant Instagram user, Aremo Gucci saying that it was Olamide and Burna Boy that helped Zlatan Ibile.



His words were also buttressed by a certain ‘Ebaycarder’ who stated that none of those who were on social media calling for Zlatan Ibile’s release did anything more than that, including Davido.
