David Hundeyin wins prize for journalism at second Lagos Youth Awards

Award-winning Nigerian investigative journalist, David Hundeyin has added to his longlist of honours after winning the ‘Most Outstanding Young Person in Journalism’ category at the second edition of the Lagos Youth Awards with the theme “The Disruptors”.

Recall Hundeyin was nominated for the coveted award alongside Fisayo Soyombo, Jerry Chiemeke and Rotimi Akinola.

At the event held in Lagos on Friday, December 23, the celebrated journalist was announced winner of the category after he secured the highest number of public votes.

In reaction, Hundeyin — who is currently out of Nigeria — in an Instagram post thanked the organisers of the prestigious awards for the recognition.

Meanwhile, the Lagos Youth Awards, now in its second edition, is an initiative of BBN360, a thriving media company managed by young people and based in Lagos.
