Dangote Refinery has increased the ex-depot price of Premium Motor Spirit (petrol) by N75, pushing the rate to N1,350 per litre from the previous N1,275.
The latest adjustment marks the refinery’s first price hike for May and comes just seven days after a similar increase that saw the ex-depot price rise from N1,200 to N1,275 per litre.
The upward review continues a recent trend of incremental price adjustments by the refinery, with the April 29 increase also adding N75 per litre to the cost of petrol.
The repeated hikes are expected to have a ripple effect across the downstream sector, potentially leading to higher pump prices for consumers in the coming days.
