Billionaire businessman Aliko Dangote has accepted an invitation from content creator Adebayo Ridwan, popularly known as Bae U, to appear on his YouTube programme, Curiosity Made Me Ask.
Dangote agreed to the invitation after Bae U challenged him to engage younger Nigerians through media platforms that appeal to their generation.
During their exchange, Bae U told the billionaire that many of his previous interviews had appeared on platforms that young people rarely watch, despite their interest in his business and potential investment opportunities.
“Most of the interviews we’ve seen you have been on platforms that my generation don’t watch,” the content creator said.
He then asked when Dangote would appear on Curiosity Made Me Ask, which provides a platform for guests to answer questions in an informal setting.
Responding, Dangote acknowledged the importance of reaching younger audiences, describing them as the future of Nigeria and Africa.
“Honestly, the future that we have is actually you, the youth. We, our own generation, really, we have not really done very well for Nigeria and also for Africa. That’s the truth,” he said.
The businessman added that older generations needed to share their experiences with younger people to help them understand the challenges of leadership, business and national development.
He subsequently accepted the invitation, saying, “We will come.”
Dangote also expressed willingness to participate in an open conversation where young Nigerians could ask questions about his business journey and how he built his wealth.
The exchange highlights the growing importance of digital platforms in connecting prominent business leaders with younger audiences beyond traditional media interviews.
