The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State, Hakeem Odumosu on Sunday launched a special strike force on social miscreants in the state.
The special strike force is saddled with the responsibility of dislodging social miscreants operating under different names, such as; the one million boys, no salary boys, Awawa boys.
Blackbox Nigeria gathered that the said miscreants are responsible for series of traffic robberies, assaults, murder and sexual assaults in different communities.
Members of the Strike Force were drawn from the Tactical Units, State Intelligence Bureau, Operations department and State Criminal Investigation department.
The force was set up in response to recent activities of miscreants in Ijegun, Itire, Isheri, where they vandalized vehicles and destroyed properties.
50 suspects in connection with the said miscreant activities have been arrested and are currently being profiles.
2 locally made pistols, 11 axes, 9 cutlasses, 4 daggers and charms were recovered from the suspects.
