In a swift change in leadership, CP Abiodun Alabi has been deployed to resume as the Commissioner of Police in Lagos State.
Alabi takes over from former Lagos police boss, Hakeem Odumosu who was recently promoted to the rank of Assistant Inspector General of Police.
It was gathered that new Lagos CP, who was until his latest appointment the Bauchi State Commissioner of Police, would formally resume office next week.
The Ekiti-born is a seasoned police officer with decades of experience, serving in various capacities in the Nigerian Police Force within and outside the country. He joined the Force in 1990 and rose through the ranks to become a Commissioner of Police.
Alabi studied sociology at the University of Lagos, graduating with a Second Class Upper degree. He also holds a Masters degree from the prestigious Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife.
He is a member of Nigeria Institute of Management (mnim), and Fellow of National Defence College (fdc), Abuja.
