COVID-19 : Nigeria records 4151 cases, as Lagos governor threatens another lockdown

239 new cases of #COVID19 have been reported in the country, says the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control.

The confirmed cases and their respective states are ;97-Lagos, 44-Bauchi, 29-Kano, 19-Katsina, 17-Borno, 7-FCT, 6-Kwara, 5-Oyo, 3-Kaduna, 3-Sokoto, 2-Adamawa, 2-Kebbi, 2-Plateau, 2-Ogun, and 1-Ekiti.

The Centre for Disease Control, while making the disclosure, Saturday, via Twitter wrote ;

“4151 cases of #COVID19 in Nigeria, 745 discharges with 128 recorded deaths.

Subsequently, Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has threatened to  place another restriction on movement and business activities should the residents fail to adhere to the public health guidelines issued by the state government in response to the fight against coronavirus pand

Babajide Sanwo-Olu said the government would be forced to review terms of easing the lockdown if there was no improvement in the adherence to the guidelines put in place to curb the pandemic.

He complained that residents went about their businesses in the last five days after the ease of lockdown without complying with the public health guidelines despite massive advocacy.
