The decision of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to sell its presidential nomination forms at a whooping N100 million has set tongues talking on social media.
The ruling party’s National Executive Committee (NEC) at a meeting on Wednesday approved the amounts for the Expression of Interest/Nomination Forms across all positions ahead of the 2023 polls.
Politicians running for presidency will pay N100 million for their nomination forms, while for gubernatorial positions, the fee is pegged at N50 million and Senate, N20 million. Other positions are House of Reps — N10 million and House of Assembly — N2 million.
Since the news broke out, Nigerians have taken to popular micro-blogging platform Twitter to berate the APC. While some believe that the ridiculous cost attached to the presidential nomination form will further breed corruption, others argue that the move was to limit the chances of young people contesting for political offices under the party.

Nigeria is too poor for politics to cost so much. Why won't politicians try to recoup their 'investment' when they get into the seat? #100m
