Nigerian comedian, Debo Adebayo popularly known as Mr Macaroni, has emerged as the winner of the ‘Most Outstanding Young Person in Entertainment’ category at the debut edition of the Lagos Youth Awards.
Nominated alongside the skit maker cum activist were Tunde Sanni (producer, Ikorodu Boiz), Grammy nominee Made Kuti and actor Tomike Adeoye.
He was also nominated in two other categories — Youth Advocate of the Year and Young Person of the Year — but lost.
Mr Macaroni clinched the award at the event held at the prestigious Sheraton Hotel, Lagos, on Boxing Day, Sunday.
The COVID-19 compliant event had in attendance nominees, dignitaries, members of the political class, and industry bigwigs.
No fewer than 15 outstanding young people across different categories were celebrated at this year’s edition of the Lagos Youth Awards themed “The Working Tribe”.
The award designed to celebrate exemplary young people in the centre of excellence is an initiative of BBN360, a thriving media company based in Lagos, Nigeria, in collaboration with some youth-based non-profit organizations.
