Alhaji Mohammed Tukur, the former General-Secretary of Airlines Operators of Nigeria have called out President Muhammadu Buhari to clear the rot in the Presidency if he wants to remain true to his words in 2017.
He disclosed this on Sunday while answering some questions fielded by a national daily as he also joined PDP, TUC and others to warn the President to change the economic policies if he indeed wants the nation to move out of recession.
He said it would be interesting if the President would do something immediately about the Babachir Lawal who was indicted by an investigation carried out by the Senate and also clear the Presidency which is currently in mess.
“Let us hope that this time around, Buhari is serious about handling the situation of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation because the SGF is one of those he originally brought into government against the expressed wished of a vast majority of members and stakeholders in his party.
“Buhari should do the decent thing by sacking him immediately and if he doesn’t have the courage, he should ask him to step aside (resign).”
He concluded that, “If he is serious about this fight, he should start from himself because if a fish wants to rot it begins from the head. He should start by looking at the Presidency which he heads. he should clear the Presidency of the mess it has found itself.”
