Nigerian musician and public figure, Charles Oputa, widely known as Charly Boy, has spoken up about the recent photos of him sitting on a wheelchair that went viral on social media.
The images had prompted mixed reactions from fans and the general public, with some expressing concern for his health, especially since he recently survived cancer.
In a tweet posted on Saturday, Charly Boy reassured his fans that he was perfectly fine and that the photos were not an indication of any health issues.
He explained that he was simply tired of walking and had asked airport officials to provide him with a wheelchair to move around comfortably.
He wrote, “I apologize if I made anybody worry about me.
“No be say anything dey do me. I just lazy/tired as I dey waka upandown for airport. So I tell officials make dem just dey push me around.
“I no dey form Chief Justice oooo and I no disguise myself to go see Tinubu for London sha.”
