Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu, widely known as Burna Boy, was born on July 2, 1991, in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, and hails from this enduring union.
His mother, Bose Ogulu, once held a position as a language translator, while his father, Samuel, managed a welding company, demonstrating the diverse talents and backgrounds that make up this remarkable family.
Notably, Burna Boy’s maternal grandfather, Benson Idonije, once served as the manager of the late legendary pioneer of Afrobeat, Fela Anikulapo-Kuti.
As Burna Boy’s music career continued to ascend, his mother, Bose, stepped into the role of his manager, guiding him to international acclaim.
In addition to skillfully managing Burna Boy’s career, Bose also oversees the professional affairs of her daughter, Nissi Ogulu, who is also a talented songwriter and recording artist in her own right, showcasing the family’s multifaceted artistic talents.
