Bunmi Onabanjo – Kuku Assumes Office As FAAN Managing Director

Bunmi Onabanjo-Kuku, who was newly appointed as the managing director of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), by the president of Nigeria, Bola Tinubu has assumed office.

Onabanjo-Kuku revealed this through her X handle on Monday night, expressing her gratitude to the president.

She wrote “Today, I returned to the aviation sector after a few years away as I officially took over the reins as the Managing Director/Chief Executive of the Federal Aviation Authority of Nigeria (@FAAN_Official). It was inspiring to meet the highly motivated & capable management & staff.

“FAAN is a national asset designed to operate airport infrastructure and equipment, and is a tool for economic development. It is the gateway to our nation. I appreciate the work put in by my predecessors to build such an enduring institution.

“I must thank Mr. President, @officialABAT, for trusting me with this great assignment and the Honourable Minister, @fkeyamo, for the confidence reposed in me. I promise to spend every waking minute earning that trust by working within the framework of the Renewed Hope Agenda.”

She has over 25 years of experience in management consulting, business development, and strategic growth.

She previously worked as a vice president at Visa, a partner at Ernst & Young, an infrastructure adviser to a former minister of aviation, and a general manager at the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency.

She is also an active investor and adviser in the Nigerian fintech space and a champion of gender diversity and inclusion.
