Buhari Speaks On Accidentally Bombed IDP Camp, Sympathises With Families

President Muhammadu Buhari has reacted to the bombing of the Internally Displaced Persons camp in Rann area of Borno State. The bomb was dropped mistakenly by the Nigerian Air Force as it’s main target was the dreaded boko haram terrorists.

According to a statement by the Presidential spokesperson, Femi Adesina, President Buhari regrets the of the Nigerian Armed Forces.

He said, “I received with regret news that the Air Force, working to mop up Boko Haram insurgents, accidentally bombed a civilian community in Rann, Borno State.”

Buhari who lamented about the unfortunate incident sympathised with the families of the dead victims, the injured, people and entire Government of Borno State.

The statement also disclosed that the FG will fully support the State in treating the situation and attending to the victims.
