FIFA President, Gianni Infantino and CAF President, Dr Patrice Motsepe, on Thursday, paid a courtesy visit to the President Muhammadu Buhari at the State House, Abuja.
During their visit, Buhari was presented with a number 10 jersey and a football.
Also in attendance were the Sports Minister, Sunday Dare, and the President of Nigeria Football Federation, Amaju Pinnick.
According to a statement by CAF, Motsepe is expected to be meeting with different stakeholders in Nigeria to discuss the advancement of football in Africa, especially the development of women’s football.
Both the FIFA and CAF chiefs attended the start of the Aisha Buhari Cup on Wednesday in Lagos State.
The competition features women’s national teams from Nigeria, Mali, Cameroon, Ghana, Morocco, and South Africa.
