The President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), has commenced the conferment of national honours on 437 persons in Abuja.
The 2022 National Honours Award is at the moment taking place at the International Conference Centre in Abuja with 437 persons on the honours call, including seven foreigners.
So far, Buhari has conferred the national honours on the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Kayode Ariwoola, former Chief of Justice of Nigeria, Tanko Ibrahim Muhammed, Speaker of the House of Representatives of Nigeria, Femi Gbajabiamila, Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha.
Others are the incumbent Chairman of Nigerian in Diaspora Commission, Abike Dabiri-Orewa, King of Fuji Music, King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, and Minister for Works and Housing, Babatunde Raji Fashola among others.
The recipients were awarded the Grand Commander of the Order of the Niger (GCON), Commander of the Order of the Federal Republic (CFR) and Commander of the Order of the Niger (CON).
