The Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU has said that the reports flying around about the Union suspending the ongoing strike is just a rumor, stating that people should debunk the false information.
ASUU through its National chairman noted that the body is still discussing with the government and the strike would only be called off when there’s agreement between all parties.
In an Interview with The Guild on a phone call today, Osodeke said that the academic body is still negotiating with the government and that the strike would be called off when all parties have reached agreements.
He hammered that the Strike continues pending when agreement would be reached, urging the lecturers to remain calm and determined in their demands.
Osodeke thereby implored students and parents to disregard the false statement from social media platforms and wait for the official statement from the union.
