BREAKING! President Tinubu sacks Service Chiefs, Police IG, Controller General of Customs

In a swift security restructuring, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the immediate retirement of all the service chief in the military formation as well as the Inspector-General of Police and the Controller-General of Customs from service.

This was contained in a statement obtained by BlackBox Nigeria which indicates that the directive is with immediate effect.

The sack also affects the National Security Adviser who has also been replaced.

According to the statement which was signed by the Director of information in the office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Willie Bassey, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu will be taking over as the National Security Adviser while Maj. Gen. C.G Musa is the new Chief of Defence Staff. Maj. T. A Lagbaja was named the Chief of Army Staff and Rear Admirral E. A Ogalla, the Chief of Naval Staff.

Others as gathered by BlackBox Nigeria include AVM H.B Abubakar as the Chief of Air Staff, DIG Kayode Egbetokun as Acting Inspector-General of Police and Maj. Gen. EPA Undiandeye Chief of Defense Intelligence.
Mr. 
Adeniyi Bashir Adewale was also appointed as the new Acting Controller-General of Customs.

Also appointed are Col. Adebisi Onasanya who is the new Brigade of Guards Commander and Lt. Col. Moshood Abiodun Yusuf  as the 7 Guards Battalion, Asokoro, Abuja.

Others are Lt. Col. Auwalu Baba Inuwa who is the new 177, Guards Battalion, Keffi, Nasarawa State, Lt. Col. Mohammed J. Abdulkarim who is to head the 102 Guards Battalion, Suleja, Niger and Lt. Col. Olumide A. Akingbesote who is the head of 176 Guards Battalion, Gwagwalada, Abuja.
