BREAKING: APC’s Ododo Declared Winner of Keenly Contested Kogi Guber Poll

Usman Ododo of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has emerged as the winner in the fiercely contested Kogi State Governorship Election held on November 11, 2023.

The State Returning Officer, Prof Johnson Urama, who is the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academics) of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka declared Ododo the winner at 10:23 pm on Sunday, marking the end of an intense electoral duel.

“Ahmed Usman Ododo of APC, having satisfied the requirement of the law is hereby declared the winner and is returned elected,” he said.

With an impressive tally of 446,237 votes, Ododo outshone his rivals, with Murtala Ajaka of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) trailing behind at 259,052 votes and Dino Melaye of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) securing 46,362 votes.
