By Breaking! APC Candidate For Eti-Osa East LCDA Election, Rafiu Olatunji, Is Dead
The Executive Chairman of Eti-Osa East Local Council Development Area, and the Chairmanship candidate under the ruling All Progressives Congress in the scheduled July 24, Local Government Election, Hon. Rafiu Olufunmi Olatunji is dead.
Olatunji who died Monday evening is the incumbent Chairman of Eti-OSA East LCDA and is seeking re-election under the All Progressives Congress (APC) Party.
He was reported to have won the APC local government primary election for Eti-Osa East LCDA with 1,977 votes. The LCDA was split from Eti-Osa Local Government Area in 2003 when LCDAs were created to get governance closer to the people.
As of the time of filing this report, the cause of death of the soft-spoken Chairman has not been ascertained.
An inside source told BlackBox Nigeria he was healthy the last time he saw him only to see the news of his death posted on one of the LCDA’s WhatsApp groups.
“He was healthy the last time I saw him, that is why he got the return ticket to represent our party, APC. He would be missed,” he said.
