Breaking! Ahmed Lawan emerges Senate President

The Senator representing Yobe North has been elected as the President of the Senate for the 9th Assembly.

Lawan defeated Borno Senator, Ali Ndume to emerge as the number three citizen of the federal republic of Nigeria.

He won by 79 votes to Ndume’s 28.

All is now set for the House of Representatives election with Femi Gbajabiamila and Ahmed Bago as front runners.
