Former Big Brother Naija star, Francisca Owumi, has passed away following a brief illness. The news of her demise was announced by her family on social media on Thursday, August 29, 2024.
The announcement was accompanied by heartfelt messages and photos of the late reality TV star, with the caption, “A daughter and sister. May her soul rest in peace, Amen.”
Francisca rose to fame as the first runner-up in the inaugural season of Big Brother Nigeria in 2006. Known for her energetic dance moves, she became a fan favorite during her time on the show. She shared the Big Brother house with other notable contestants, including Katung Aduwak, who won the season, and Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, who has since become a prominent media personality.
After her stint on Big Brother, Francisca ventured into the Nigerian music scene, releasing two singles titled “Gbadun You” and “Diva.” Though her music career was brief, she left a lasting impression on those who followed her journey.
