BiafraExit: ‘Kaduna Declaration’, Ohaneze Youth Forum Appeals For Calm

Ohaneze Youth Forum has appealed to all to remain calm after the ‘Kaduna Declaration’ was made public as it revealed that the Group has spoken to the real Arewa Youth in the North and such call did not emanate from them.

In a statement jointly signed by Akuazaoku Chukwuma and Eze Umuokorobia disclosed that the announcement did not speak for the entire Northern Youth, but nevertheless remain calm as they continue with their legitimate business.

The group also called on all Igbos living in the South-East not to be hostile to Northerners residing in the Zone after the declaration, as they have been co-cohabiting together peaceful for many years.

Ndi Nze na Ozo,fellow igbo men, women and children,I greet you.

The so called Kaduna Declaration has come to our notice and we have reached out to authentic youths in the north.
Those Arewa prefixed NGOs that met in Kaduna,do not speak for the entire northern youths. Not all northern people belong to the Arewa house.

We wish they had given Boko Haram this marching order or volunteered to join the Nigerian Army in fighting Boko Haram.

Umunnem,as you know, group of miscreants can come together and answer any name, attempt to force their will as the will of generality of a people who do not even share those ideals the miscreants are championing.

The peoples of the North are not in support of the so called Kaduna Declaration and they have expressed shock and disbelief that such a declaration will be made at a time the nation is seeking healing from the ghost of Biafra.
We urge you all,to vigilantly remain calm,be on the lookout for your brother and sister.Onye ayala nwanne ya!

This Declaration, should bond us more as ndi igbo and not push us into retaliation or carrying out acts of terror against peoples of the north in our home land.
We have lived well with the carrot seller at Control post Owerri, head bridge Onitsha market has a lot of peoples of the North, who know nowhere is as home but Anambra;the same with Sule at train station Umuahia,Abia state.

These peoples of the north in igbo land, have married our sisters, speak our language more fluently than some of us who are natives. Why should we allow ourselves to be instigated to murder our in-laws and turn our sisters to widows and our children orphans?

While we share your apprehension,we further wish to appeal to you to know that an igbo man in the north,is economically worth more than 3 northern shoemakers, roaming the dusty streets of Abakiliki or the muddy cow market in Abia state.
My brothers, use your tongue to count your teeth and realise that enemies of our people are trying to provoke us to self destruction.

We are not known as a people who murder their visitor, that is why our fathers pray that when my visitor leaves, may he not have haunch back,so long as his visit did not bring me evil.
These northerners in our home land, have they brought us any evil?Is it not what we need to prolong life like beans, carrot, lettuce, tomatoes, that they bring to us?

My brothers, sheath your anger, let your heart beats return to normal and rationally,we will engage the state called Nigeria.
No part of Nigeria or any Nigerian has the right to threaten us both as a tribe or as an individual.

Occupy the part of North wherever you are, defend yourself, report any threat to the nearest Police station,DSS and document their responses. Communicate to us any discrimination against you because you are an igbo man.
Our email address is [email protected], you can also like our facebook page,to enable you post your experiences in the north.

We call on the Federal Government to immediately show firm leadership and protect our people and their properties in northern Nigeria.Ndi igbo need to feel this government and be made an equal partner in the Nigerian project.

We believe in the unity of Nigeria.
We believe that an igbo man MUST be president of Nigeria.
We believe our brothers will be calm but will rise to defend themselves, the honour of our sisters and the rights of our children to grow and attain their full potentials in one united Nigeria.
Ndi igbo kele nu!
Ndi Enugu na eje!
Ndi Anambra,udo dili unu!
Ndi Igbo mma mma nu!
Ndi Abia ka!
Ndi Ebonyi,ekele m unu!
