Following the agreement by the apex leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC), the Justice Forum (JF) of Igbogbo-Baiyeku Local Council Development Area (LCDA) of Ikorodu Division, ably led by a member of the Governance Advisory Council (GAC), Asiwaju Olorunfunmi Basorun, Aroyewun emerged as the endorsed candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Igbogbo-Baiyeku LCDA, reflecting years of commitment to community service, party loyalty, and grassroots development.

His educational journey began at Zumratul Islamiyyah Grammar School, Igbogbo, and culminated in multiple academic laurels, including a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Olabisi Onabanjo University, an MBA from Ahmadu Bello University, and a Master’s in Public and International Affairs from the University of Lagos.
Professionally, Hammed Aroyewun carved a distinguished path at the Lagos State Internal Revenue Service (LIRS), rising through the ranks and leading strategic units in taxation, employment generation, high net worth individual monitoring, and public enlightenment. His expertise also stretches into academia, logistics, and agriculture — experiences that have armed him with a deep understanding of governance, economics, and sustainable community development.
Beyond his professional life, Aroyewun has maintained deep roots in Igbogbo-Baiyeku’s civic life. From serving as Public Relations Officer of the Igbogbo Development Association (IDEA) to being a founding member of the Community Initiatives for Igbogbo Development Union (CIIDU), his footprints are visible across the community’s developmental landscape.
