Popular Nigerian singer Bella Shmurda has made a solemn promise to take responsibility for the child left behind by his late colleague and friend, Mohbad.
The music industry and fans alike were shocked by the untimely passing of Mohbad, and Bella Shmurda is still grappling with the loss.
The ‘Cash App’ crooner revealed that he has been battling with the emotional turmoil of losing Mohbad and that it has led him down a path of alcoholism in an attempt to cope with the pain.
Bella Shmurda expressed his regret that his son, Abiola Imole, whom he named after his late friend, would grow up without the chance to know his namesake.
Nevertheless, he made a heartfelt promise to preserve Mohbad’s legacy and provide care for his son, Liam.
Sharing a poignant picture of Mohbad, Bella Shmurda conveyed his inner struggle, stating,
“You told me to stop it [mourning]. [I] have been trying. I just hope you’re okay where you are because [I] have not been happy for days. [I] have been drinking and going back and forth on how to move on.”
Bella Shmurda assured that he would share the story of his late friend and provide the love and support that both their sons deserve.
In a touching sign-off, he humorously referred to himself as “Bell and Sons Inc.” signifying his commitment to taking care of Mohbad’s son and preserving their shared bond.
