By Legendary folk and roots musician, Segun Akinlolu, popularly known as Beautiful Nubia has announced double concerts to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the release of his iconic third studio album, “Jangbalajugbu”.
In a statement shared on his social media pages on Tuesday, the leader of the Roots Renaissance Band disclosed that they will also be marking the 25th year since the establishment of their record label, ẸniỌbánkẹ́ as well as the release of their first album “Seven Lifes”.
Beautiful Nubia also recounted, with pictures, some of the key moments in his music career from 1997 till date.
To mark the milestones in his journey in the music industry, the bandleader and his music group will hold two concerts in October — one in Lagos and the other in Ibadan.
The Lagos concert is billed to take place on Sunday, October 23, 2022 at 51 Adekunle Fajuyi Way, GRA Ikeja. Time is 5pm – 9pm.
For Ibadan, the concert comes up on Saturday, October 29, 2022. Venue is 1 Soun Ajagungbade St, Bodija, and time is 5pm – 9pm.

The 54-year-old musician is known for his original music built on built on folkloric traditions and native wisdom, and has released over 20 albums.
