Dr. Fatai Abatan Abiodun has urged Nigerian youths to be catalyst of positive influence in community development and nation building.
He made the call on October 1st at the second Ikorodu Division Youth Summit held at the Ikorodu Town hall.
“Young people have moved from being leaders of tomorrow to being partners of today and the generations above should accord them the honor of engagement to find common grounds.
“We need more hands to remain dominant by opening up more opportunities for our youths in the area of sustainable empowerment capacity and correctional facilities that make them a better and positive youth, relevant to calling in community development processes”, Dr. Fatai said
Another speaker, Kuye Lanre kamorudeen, also charged youths to pursue education and career development with passion.
Mr. Lanre, the Public Relations Officer and Deputy Registrar of Lagos State Polytechnic urged youths to receive any form of education and aim to bring opportunities to society.
“Stop diverting your attention to social media and focus on your studies. Acquint your selves with enterperenurial skills as that would boost employment creation in the nation” Mr. Kuye said.
